Optical Communication Module

Software-defined free-space links for covert, resilient networking.

Fifth Force Labs is developing an optical communication module inspired by the active retroreflector concept: a wide-field free-space terminal that receives, authenticates, and returns directed optical traffic without relying on a conventional gimbaled link.

Built for autonomous fleets, relays, and distributed optical nodes.

The concept is aimed at scenarios where drones, maritime assets, and remote terminals need optical coordination without exposing a conventional RF footprint.
